This new third-generation pitch was laid in July 2007 and one of
the latest additions to provision in the borough. Set near to the
entrance to the park itself, the Tigerturf Challenger surface is
ideal for football and can also accommodate recreational hockey as
well.
Marked for both 11-a-side and 6-a-side, this is a much-valued
addition to the communities facilities, providing a training
venue for various clubs and teams. The pitch size is 103m x
66m.
Whittington Park Football Pitch is managaged by Enterprise on
behalf of Islington Council. Aquaterra manages programming and
booking. The Islington Football Development Partnership
provides the football development programme that caters for
both boys and girls as well embryonic leagues for women and
girls.
