Ducklings Classes

The Ducklings Awards are the foundation stage of the NPTS and are suitable for children aged 5 months to 4 years. Developing and boosting the confidence of very young children, both in and out of the water. Through exploring and enjoying the fun of learning to swim, whilst also providing their guardian the confidence to support their aquatic learning.

In Islington, each session takes place in shallow water or the teaching pool (where available), a guardian is required in the water at all times.

In Bath and North East Somerset, each session takes place in shallow water or the teaching pool (where available), a guardian is required in the water at all times for adult and child classes and stage 1 - 3 Ducklings classes, from Ducklings 4 onwards the swimmer will be accompanied in the water by the teacher.
