General

South Wansdyke Sports Centre runs swimming lessons throughout the year.

All of our swimming teachers hold an ASA Level 1 or 2 swimming instructor qualification or equivilent, RLSS Pool Lifeguarding Qualification and attend regular training. All lessons are 25 minutes.

Free swimming

Children enrolled on a current 10 week Learn to Swim course and holding a valid Junior Leisure Card qualify to receive free swimming for any casual session, Monday – Friday (term time only) at any Aquaterra pool in BNES.

To gain free entry to the pool a valid Junior Leisure Card and course enrolment card must be shown at reception. Normal admission policy will apply.

Next course dates - ducklings

The next 10 week swimming course will commence week beginning Monday 22nd February and ends week beginning Monday 3rd May 2010. Lessons run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Next course dates - juniors

The next 10 week swimming course will commence week beginning Monday 15th March and ends week beginning Monday 17th May 2010. Lessons run every day of the week.

How to book

For existing swimmers - children already involved in swimming lessons at South Wansdyke Sports Centre will be entitled to enrol for the next term of lessons from Monday 1st March 2010.

For new swimmers - children who are taking swimming lessons with us for the first time will be able to enrol for the next term of lessons from Monday 8th March 2010. Please call reception or drop by the centre from this date.

Week beginning Monday 4th August - Monday 4th October 2010
Week beginning Monday 11th October - Monday 13th December 2010

Next course dates - adults

The next 10 week swimming course will commence week beginning Monday 15th March and ends week beginning Monday 17th May 2010. Lessons run on Sunday mornings.
