Sobell closure dates

Islington Council is investing in the future of the Sobell Leisure Centre by carrying out essential repairs and upgrades costing £1.7m. This will lead to closures of facilities and activities through to September 2010. Check the improvement works timetable and centre access before you visit.

Sobell has a puropse built dojo that is available for hire to independant clubs and schools that specialise in martial arts.

We are currently home to:

Sobell Judo Club who have been based at the Sobell since 1974.

Sobell Karate Club who are affiliated to the UK Traditional Karate Federation.
