Table Tennis success for the Finsbury team!

Finsbury Table Tennis Club (FTTC) dominated the recent Central Table Tennis League Tournament hosted by Highbury TTC at Islington's St Mary Magdalene Academy. The Finsbury team enjoyed the local venue and progressed easily through the weekend group stages with wonderful displays of attack & counter-attacking play. The competition finals were played on Wednesday 25th April.

Islington teens gear up for another great Saturday Night Project

Islington teens are gearing up for another great evening of activities and sports at Sobell Leisure Centre this Saturday. The Saturday Night Project, funded by Islington Giving and run by Aquaterra Leisure is inviting 13-19 year-olds in the borough to come along and enjoy sports such as football, basketball, badminton and dance as well as new experiences such as Body Zorbing.

Swimathon Foundation grant allows over 50s to swim for just £1

Aquaterra Leisure has been awarded a grant of £1,829 by the Swimathon Foundation to allow them to help people aged 50+ to enjoy the benefits of swimming. Aquaterra Leisure centres in Bath and North East Somerset will be offering swimming lessons for just £1 to the 50+ age group.

Body Zorbing and Kangoo Boots – just another Saturday Night Project at Sobell!

344 of Islington's young people enjoyed a fun evening of sports and activities at the Sobell Leisure Centre for the second Saturday Night Project of 2012. With over 100 more attendees than the February event, the carnival atmosphere provided a great backdrop for football tournaments, dance performances and lots more.

Bike Bath 'Celebration of Cycling' event unveiled

Plans for an evening to celebrate the joy of cycling in Bath have been unveiled. The Bike Bath festival has organised the Celebration of Cycling evening on Friday, June 22 at the Pavilion in North Parade Road. The festival is being developed by sports centre operator Aquaterra Leisure and Breathingspace Live, a Bath events business. Find out more
