Who is MEND for?
MEND is for children aged 7 - 11 years who are aiming to manage
their weight.
What does MEND do?
MEND is a free 10 week community-based programme which aims to
help children become fitter, healthier and happier.
The programme has an emphasis on practical, fun learning and is
designed to deliver sustained improvements in families' diets,
fitness levels and overall health. By following the MEND
principles, participants will lose weight naturally and build a
foundation for healthy living.
MEND includes:
• Weekly games, activities and swimming
• Learning that being active is lots of fun
• Interactive sessions to improve self-confidence
• Practical demonstrations about healthy food
