MEND Programme in B&NES

What does MEND stand for?

Mind, Exercise, Nutrition…Do it!

Who is MEND for?

MEND is for children aged 5 - 13 years who are aiming to manage their weight.

What does MEND do?

MEND is a free community-based programme which aims to help children become fitter, healthier and happier.

The programme has an emphasis on practical, fun learning and is designed to deliver sustained improvements in families' diets, fitness levels and overall health. By following the MEND principles, participants will lose weight naturally and build a foundation for healthy living.

MEND includes:

• Weekly games and activities
• Learning that being active is lots of fun
• Interactive sessions to improve self-confidence
• Practical demonstrations about healthy food

Where does the programme take place?

Programme one (ages 7-13)

Mondays and Wednesdays (10 weeks)
South Wansdyke Sports Centre
4 - 6pm
Tuesdays (20 weeks) Bath Sports and Leisure Centre 4.30 - 6.30pm

Programme two (ages 5-7)

Wednesdays
(10 weeks)
Keynsham Leisure Centre 4.30 - 6.30pm
