General

Keynsham Leisure Centre runs swimming lessons year round.

The swimming pool is 25m long with a shallow end measuring 0.9m and a deep end at 2.0m making this an ideal pool for swimming lessons of all stages. With a spectator stand overlooking the pool, this site also allows parents and guardians a great view of their children’s swimming lessons.

All of our swimming teachers hold an ASA Level 1 or 2 swimming instructor qualification or equivilent, RLSS Pool Lifeguarding Qualification and attend regular training.

Free swimming

Children enrolled on a current 10 week Learn to Swim course and holding a valid Junior Leisure Card qualify to receive free swimming for any casual session, Monday – Friday (term time only) at any Aquaterra pool in BNES.

To gain free entry to the pool a valid Junior Leisure Card and course enrolment card must be shown at reception. Normal admission policy will apply.

Lesson Times

Junior lessons run every weekday and at weekends.

Adult lessons are available on Monday afternoons, Tuesday and Saturday mornings, and Friday evenings.

Parent & baby/toddlers lessons are available Mondays and Fridays.

All lessons are 25 minutes.

Next course dates

The next 10 week swimming course for juniors and parent & baby/toddlers will commence week beginning Monday 22nd February and ends week beginning Monday 26th April 2010. There will be no lessons on 2nd and 5th April.

The next 12 week beginners swimming courses will commence week beginning Monday 10th May and ends week beginning Monday 26th July 2010. There will be no lessons on 3rd and 31st May.
