Confidence in the quality, professionalism and integrity of the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) has firmly established it as the UK's premier lifeguard training award. It is the first choice of managers throughout the UK.
The qualification is split into two parts. The foundation module, which is a pre-requisite before employment and the site-specific module, which is completed at your workplace. The qualification is valid for two years.
The Foundation module courses are 6 - 12 weeks long and available at all four approved training centres (pools) within Islington. Maximum number per course is 12. Intensive courses are also run at Ironmonger Row Baths and Cally Pool.
Criteria
You must be 16 years of age and a competent swimmer with the ability to swim 400 metres in either breast stroke or front crawl.
