Mini Tennis
Mini Tennis is exactly what the name suggests - the game of
tennis modified for younger or inexperienced players, in which all
the skills and tactics of the real game can be learned and used. It
offers an exciting and colourful introduction to the game that will
sustain a young player's interest and give them the desire to play
tennis for life.
The three stages of Mini Tennis
Mini Tennis has three distinct colour coded stages in the
sequence of traffic lights - red, orange and green. The youngest
players start on a small court with a smaller racket and sponge
balls. Progression to the full size game is gradual as the court
size, racket length, speed of ball and the length of game/match all
increase.
All courses are taken by LTA qualified coaches. Each course has
six weeks tuition.
What to wear
Trainers with non marking soles and comfortable sports
clothing.

Equipment
Rackets will be provided or you may bring your own.
Mini Tennis Red Courses (4 - 7yrs)
Developing movement, co-ordination and ball skills, an
introduction to the game and above all else, fun! Sponge balls and
small rackets are used.

emphasis is on playing the game, enjoying competition and learning

Mini Tennis Green Courses (9 - 11yrs)
Played on a full size court with a ball that is slightly lighter
and softer than a full tennis ball. This promotes longer rallies.
Children are encouraged to play matches and be competitive as they
progress towards the full game.

Teen Tennis
