Badminton
Sports hall closure
The sports hall is closed from Tuesday 7 to Tuesday 28
May for repair work to the ceiling. All other areas of the centre
are open as usual. Regular bookers will be contacted direct. We
apologise for the inconvenience these works may cause
you.
We have six courts available for 'pay and play'. More
competitive players may wish to join a badminton club, detailed
below.
Pay and Play
Pay and play booking slots are 55 minutes, starting on the
hour.

Bookings
Courts can be booked seven days in advance of play by
members and five days in advance by non members. Visit
in person, call reception or e-book. For full information see booking

Prices
A 55 minute court booking for adults costs £13.50 or £11 for
members. Off peak bookings (weekdays 10am - 12noon and 2 - 5pm
inclusive) cost £9 or £7.50 for members.
Over 45s Badminton
Friendly badminton session for people aged over 45 years to
enjoy. All levels are welcome, especially beginners. Sessions run
Thursdays 11am - 12noon. No need to book, just turn up.
The session costs £5 for non-members, £3.80 for members or £2.60
with a 60+ Izz card.
Badminton Club
The centre is home to several active independent badminton
clubs.
Racket Hire
Badminton rackets cost £2.10 to hire. A £5 deposit is required
from non members, members can leave their membership card.
