In the interest of safety, spiked golf shoes are recommended at both courses, as there are sloping areas which can become slippery, particularly in wet conditions. However, at the discretion of the attendant staff member, any footwear offering a reasonable grip, and not likely to cause damage to the playing surfaces will be allowed.
The sharing of clubs is strictly prohibited. At the Bath Approach course, the hire of a putter and an iron are included free of charge. At the Entry Hill Golf Course, all players must carry, or pull on a trolley, a golf bag containing all of the clubs they intend to use during their round. Club hire is available if required. Golf balls, tees, pencils etc. are not provided free of charge but are available to purchase at both courses.
• A maximum of four people may play in a group.
• A reasonable standard of dress is expected at all times. Tops must be worn.
• Only trolleys with wide wheels may be used on the course.
• You must not venture into surrounding properties to retrieve golf balls, or for any other reason. Shots must never be played from any area defined as out of bounds.
• Where the tee markers are situated on either side of a tee mat, the ball must be played from the mat and not surrounding grass area.
• You must maintain the condition of the course by replacing divots, repairing, pitch marks and spike marks on the greens, raking over footprints in bunkers.
• You must allow faster groups to "play through" particularly if you are searching for a lost ball
• Make sure that the group in front are well out of range before hitting your shots. If a ball is accidentally hit towards any other golfers please shout "FORE" as a warning so they may have a chance to take evasive action.
• Make sure that any incidents concerning injury, damage to the course or damage to surrounding property is reported to the shop staff on completion of the round or at the earliest opportunity.
• At Entry Hill make sure that you play from the correct tee markers as indicated:
- Red ladies or juniors
- Yellow men or juniors (general play)
- White men or juniors (official competitions, matches and handicap cards)
• Sharing clubs. Club hire is available if required.
• Buying golf balls from children on the course. This encourages children to wander around creating a safety hazard and it can encourage theft.
• Taking bags or trolleys on to the greens.
• Any behaviour that may cause offence to others.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
