Swimming Lessons
General
Culverhay Sports Centre runs swimming lessons throughout the
year. All lessons are 25 minutes, except for Junior Levels 8 and
over which are 55 minutes.
Free swimming
Children enrolled on a current 10 week Learn to Swim course and
holding a valid Junior Leisure Card qualify to receive free
swimming for any casual session, Monday - Friday (term time only)
at any Aquaterra pool in BNES.
To gain free entry to the pool a valid Junior Leisure Card and
course enrolment card must be shown at reception. Normal admission
policy will apply.
Parent and Baby / Toddler Lessons
This course covers Ducklings 4 classes aimed at children aged 3
year to school age. Lessons run Monday afternoons from 4pm -
4.30pm.
How to book
Our swimming lesson system, Aquazone, allows you to
enroll your child at any time, progress at their own level and you
can check what's happening online. Plus you can pay by direct debit
which makes it easier and more convenient.
Junior Lessons
These lessons cover stages 1-10 of the National Plan for the
teaching of swimming, including elements of diving, water polo and
synchro. Lessons run weekdays from 4pm - 7.30pm and Saturdays from
9am - 12pm.

Junior Disabled Swimming Lessons
Lessons take place every Thursday from 4pm till 5.30pm. Please
contact the Swimming Development Manager for more information on

Adult Swimming Lessons
The next course will commence week beginning Monday 12 March
2012 and ends week beginning Monday 14 May 2012. Lessons run
on Sunday mornings.

Paying by direct debit is easier and more

Standard: one-off joining fee of £12 and then £17 per month.
Member/Concessions: one-off joining fee of £6 then £12.50 per
month.
