Lifeguarding

With a 3m deep end, the pool at Culverhay is an exiting place to study pool lifeguarding. The sports centre specialises in intensive courses where people can get qualified quickly. Our RLSS trainer assesssor is Mark Harris who has years of experience both training lifeguards and competitive swimmers.

Programme

Our six day course runs over two weeks, from 9am - 4pm. The course will run from Monday through to Wednesday in the first week, and from Wednesday through to Friday in the second week. Full attendance is essential.

Course dates for 2009

Monday 6th April Friday 17th April

What to bring

Please bring swim wear, plus shorts and a T-shirt (that you will have to swim in). An extra towel is handy to have so you can dry off in between exercises. A pen and paper is required for taking notes. There are no shops nearby so make sure you bring a packed lunch and snacks. Free tea and coffee will be provided.

How to book

Please read the lifeguarding home page for course prerequisites. You can book in person or by telephoning the centre. Payment is required to secure a place. Credit cards are accepted.

Prices
