Swimming Lessons
General
Bath Sports & Leisure Centre runs swimming lessons
throughout the year. Lessons are held in both the main
pool and Fun Leisure Pool. The Fun Leisure
Pool is ideal for babies and beginners with a sloping beach
entrance and a water temperature of 32 degrees.
Free swimming
Children enrolled on a current 10 week Learn to Swim course and
holding a valid Junior Leisure Card qualify to receive free
swimming for any casual session, Monday - Friday (term time only)
at any Aquaterra pool in BNES.
To gain free entry to the pool a valid Junior Leisure Card and
course enrolment card must be shown at reception. Normal admission
policy will apply.
Parent and baby/toddlers lessons
This course covers Ducklings lessons levels 1-4. The next
ducklings swimming course will run week commencing Monday 20
February - Monday 26 March. Lessons run weekdays during term time
only.
How to book for existing Ducklings swimmers
Children already involved in swimming lessons at Bath Sports and
Leisure Centre will be entitled to enroll for the next term of
lessons on the penultimate week of each course. The last week of
the course the spaces open up to new customers wishing to join the
lessons.
Junior lessons
These lessons cover stages 1-10 of the National Plan for the
teaching of swimming, including elements of diving, water polo,
synchro and rookie lifeguard. The lessons run weekdays between 4 -
7.30pm and Saturdays 8am - 1.30pm.
How to book
Our swimming lesson system, Aquazone, allows you to
enroll your child at any time, progress at their own level and you
can check what's happening online. Plus you can pay by direct debit
which makes it easier and more convenient.
Adult Lessons
The next adult swimming course will commence week beginning
Monday 12 March and ends week beginning Monday 14 May. Lessons run
on Sunday mornings.
Rookie Lifeguard Courses
Developed by the Royal Lifesaving Society, children work towards
bronze, silver, gold, or achievement awards under the guidance of a
fully qualified instructor.

Direct debit prices
Paying by direct debit is easier and more
convenient.
Standard: one-off joining fee of £12 and then £17 per month.
Member/Concessions: one-off joining fee of £6 then £12.50 per
month.
