Massage
The Therapy Room at Bath Sports and Leisure Centre offers specialist treatment in sports therapy massage. Applied skillfully, this is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system. It will benefit those individuals regularly exercising as a preventative measure to injuries which might otherwise be caused by overuse.
A constant build up of tension in the muscles may lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as the muscles themselves. So whether you’re an athlete or just participating in regular exercise, our therapists can work with you to relieve pain, facilitate movement and encourage relaxation.

George Clack
I have been involved within the fitness industry for the last 20 years. After winning numerous British National Championship medals in my sport, I realised the importance of having sports massage therapy, in prevention of injury as well as post injury. I qualified as a sports massage therapist in 2002 and have completed numerous continuous development courses since. I have worked with Bristol Rugby and the British Skydiving National team.

Matt Holmes
I trained at the Premier Headquarters in Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy, and have been performing treatments for three years. I have treated a range of clients for a number of different complaints from the odd ache to athletes suffering from or looking to prevent injury. I enjoy my work as a therapist, the challenges I face in treating muscle imbalances and whether this means applying techniques to loosen tightness or muscle activation techniques (M.A.T.) to tighten looseness.

Nigel Marchant
I qualified as a sports therapist in 2008. After experiencing my own rehab problems due to years of football, I completed the course to help others get through similar challenges. Being a personal trainer at Bath Sports and Leisure Centre, I consistently see sports massage therapy as a major benefit, and I get to work with a broad range of clients for both injury prevention, and rehab.
