Bike Bath Spin Courses

Bike Bath is a weekend of 30, 60 and 100 mile cycling events held in and around the beautiful city of Bath. To prepare you for the event, we are running 5-week spin courses. Spin is a great workout to music on a static bike and will leave you feeling energised and de-stressed. Please view our Bike Bath page for information.

Adult Badminton Courses

Have fun and get fit in a friendly and enjoyable environment! Courses led by a qualified coach. Sessions run on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Adult Tap Dance Course

Six week courses starting Wednesday 13 June 2012.

Get your toes tapping! Stomp your way through class by learning basic steps put together to create short routines. Dance along to show stopping musical numbers and let your feet do the talking! Have you got the rhythm?

Wednesdays 6.40 - 7.40pm (beginners)
Wednesdays 7.40 - 8.40pm (improvers)

Tap shoes not necessary. Shoes not provided.

Price per course: £38 standard, £32 for members, £25 for member concessions, or £22 for platinum members.

Adult Ballet Course

With instructor Kim Jones

Six week courses starting week commencing Monday 11 June 2012.

Learn the basics of traditional ballet technique and understand the technical elements behind the graceful movements. Improve your posture, alignment and flexibility. The class will include barre exercises and centre work, developing strength and focusing on correct placement of the body. Suitable clothing is sports wear with flat shoes or just socks.

Beginners sessions

Monday 6.15 - 7.15pm
Wednesday 11am - 12pm
Friday 5.30 - 6.30pm

Improvers sessions

Monday 7.15 - 8.15pm
Tuesday 6pm - 7pm
Wednesday 12 - 1pm
Friday 6.30 - 7.30pm

Advanced session

Tuesday

Boot Camp Courses

Six week courses starting Wednesday 13 June 2012.

Indoor and outdoor exercise drills designed to boost your fitness to a new level. Crawling, climbing and throwing are just a few movements packed into this total body workout. This boot camp even has its own assault course.

Early morning sessions: Wednesdays & Fridays, 7 - 7.55am (12 sessions)
Price per course: £60 standard, £65 for members, £45 for member concessions or £40 for Platinum members.

Evening sessions: Mondays & Wednesdays, 6 - 6.55pm (11 sessions)
Price per course: £75 standard, £65 for members, £60 for member concessions or £50 for Platinum members.

Flexercise

Six week courses starting Wednesday 13 June 2012.

A gentle chair based exercise class designed to improve flexibility, mobility and strength in the elderly or those with disability. All exercises are performed whilst seated and may use music or equipment.

Sessions run on Wednesdays from 2 - 3pm.

Price per course: £26 standard, £22 for members, £19 for member concessions, or £16 for Platinum members.

Hooping Course

Six week courses starting week commencing Monday 18 June 2012.

It's hula hooping for grownups! The hoops are bigger and heavier than the ones you used as a kid. The hoops rotate more slowly so that everybody can hoop, regardless of age, size, or sense of rhythm. It's great fun and a great cardiovascular abdominal workout.

Tuesdays 7 - 7.45pm
Thursdays 12.30 - 1.15pm

Kettlebell Course

Six week courses starting Friday 15 June 2012.

Improve your fitness level, strength and endurance. Combination of exercises with a range of kettlebell weights. Popular with sporting athletes and the special forces - find out why! Suitable for all fitness levels.

Sessions run on Fridays from 5 - 5.55pm.

Pole Fit Course

Six week courses starting week commencing Monday 18 June 2012.

Tone up with pole fit, a class that delivers cardiovascular exercise whilst incorporating gymnastic moves, ballet, modern dance and freestyle in both static and moving positions.

Recommended wear: shorts and a vest top, plus bare feet. Please do not apply creams or lotions to your body before attending the pole fit class.

Tuesdays 8.20pm - 9.20pm
Thursdays 6pm - 7pm

Price per course: £48 standard, £42 for members, £39 for member concessions, or £30 for Platinum members. Book both courses and get the second course half price!

Self Defence Course

Six week courses starting Thursday 14 June 2012.

Learn effective and easily applicable self-protection techniques. Understand the psychology of threatening situations and how to work within your own capabilities to deal with them safely. This relaxed and fun class is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Sessions run on Thursdays from 7.30 - 8.25pm.

Teen Ballet Course

Six week course starting 15 June 2012.
