Membership retention

Aquaterra work really hard at retaining our members. This is about making sure that our customers use our centres regularly and get personal benefit from their visits. So our gym management systems, used in our own facilities and also franchised to other local authorities, are entirely focused around helping individuals set and achieve their own personal objectives in a friendly, non-threatening, supportive environment.

Our systems employ information technology, behavioural change theory and communications training in addition to higher level health and fitness qualifications for staff.

Aquaterra Leisure has successfully developed a number of tools that can be used in gyms and leisure centres to help assist with membership retention, usage, income and customer satisfaction.

Connect - making retention simple

Connect is an IT solution that improves customer retention.

Connect is an easy-to-use tool which provides access to the complex elements of customer retention, enabling managers to monitor customer attendance, target interactions, measure interaction effectiveness, and manage performance.

In 2011 Aquaterra Leisure formed a partnership with The Retention People (TRP) to provide Connect to other gyms across the UK. TRP are the leaders in membership retention so by working together we are able to provide a great product with a great level of support and service.

The One2One programme

The One2One programme is a member journey retention system that involves four one-to-one appointments during each new customer's first month. This programme was developed using the Fitness Industry Associations research on retention. We will supply the marketing, management tools and training to enable staff to deliver. We will also supply programme cards, branded bottles, towels and T-shirts.
