Community exercise
Aquaterra manage over 20 community based exercise classes for
mainly for older people. These are held in community centres, halls
and clubs. Many of the sessions are chair-based exercise. They help
the overall strength of each participant with everyday activities
like rising from a chair. We also run more conventional aerobic and
resistance classes plus Tai Chi, line dancing and yoga.
We also run health walks led by volunteers that have been trained
by Natural England.
The community exercise programme in Islington is promoted by
EverActive Magazine, an in-house publication that is distributed
twice a year to older residents.
