Aquaterra Leisure launches the Islington Aquaterra Outdoor programme with a week of free taster sessions
Aquaterra Leisure will mark the launch of a new outdoor
programme 'Aquaterra Outdoor' at Highbury Fields, Highbury with a
week of free taster sessions from Sunday 19th - Friday 24th June,
leading into a full summer programme from Sunday 26th June. The
classes are suitable for adults from 16 years.
Free taster sessions will include activities such as Nordic
Walking, Boot Camp, Easy Exercise, Burn & Firm and Aerobics,
and the Gazebo on Highbury Fields will be the meeting point for all
free classes. Nordic Walking taster sessions will require booking,
contact Penny Shrubb on 020 7689 7096. No booking required for all
other classes but allow 5 minutes to register before the class
begins.
The new Aquaterra Outdoor programme will provide a number of
classes that are suitable for participants to do outside and will
take place in Highbury Fields, nearby to Highbury Pool &
Leisure Centre. This is an extension to the current indoor exercise
programmes at Aquaterra centres in Islington and will offer
customers the opportunity to add more variety to their exercise
regime. Classes will be set in a friendly and social environment
with classes led by qualified instructors.
'Aquaterra Leisure recognises that there are a large number of
people who enjoy exercising outdoors and we are perfectly placed to
be able to provide an outdoor programme throughout the summer
months when weather conditions are milder. The classes we offer are
suitable for adults of all abilities and will provide a great
social environment for all to participate in exercise, together
outside in the fresh air'.
Penny Shrubb, Special Projects Manager, Aquaterra Leisure.
Following the week of free taster sessions, the full summer
outdoor programme will begin from Sunday 26th June and will run up
to Friday 4th September. Leaflets with further details are
available at each of the Aquaterra leisure centres in
Islington.
