Exercising to music in waist deep water. aqua aerobics improves
the fitness of your heart and lungs, tones the body and burns up
calories. Many people prefer doing aerobics in water as it keeps
you cool.
The support of the water during exercise greatly reduces stress
on joints such as knees and ankles. This makes aqua aerobics an
ideal activity for people recovering from injury, people with
conditions such a back pain or arthritis, older people, those
carrying excess weight and pregnant women.
Non swimmers are welcome to aqua aerobics - you don't even have
to put your face in the water. Just exercise in a depth you feel
comfortable with, close to the poolside. It is a very enjoyable way
to gain water confidence and many people often decide to learn how
to swim after joining an aqua aerobics class.
All our pools provide Aqua aerobics classes that are designed
for all levels of fitness and open to everyone from age 14 upwards.
No need to book - just turn up. Aquaterra members enjoy discount
prices.
All of our instructors are members of the Register of Exercise
Professionals. You can check out their qualifications and level at
