Sobell closure dates

Islington Council is investing in the future of the Sobell Leisure Centre by carrying out essential repairs and upgrades costing £1.7m. This will lead to closures of facilities and activities through to September 2010. Check the improvement works timetable and centre access before you visit.

We have two 5-a-side indoor football courts available for ‘pay and play’. We also have drop in sessions and courses for juniors. See junior activities.

Programme

Pay and play booking slots are 55 minutes, starting on the half hour on Sundays to Fridays and on the hour on Saturdays.

Bookings

Courts can be booked 7 days in advance of play by members and 5 days in advance by non members. Telephone bookings only are taken from 8am weekdays and 9am weekends. You can book in person or e-book from 8.15am weekdays or 9.15am weekends. For full information see

Block bookings

Block bookings for periods of three months are available on weekdays 5.30 - 6.25pm or 9.30 - 10.25pm or anytime weekends.

There is currently an available slot from 9.30 - 10.25pm on a Wednesday. Block booking incur a 10% additional charge and all sessions must be paid in full in advance. If you are interested please contact us. For full information see block booking conditions of hire.
